NEWSPAPERS

& MAGAZINES

My media career began at the age of nineteen when I wrote for small newspapers in Massachusetts, including the Cape Cod Times. I reported on local school boards, zoning boards, planning commissions, and various government bodies. This experience opened the door to positions at publications in Michigan, Upstate New York, and Virginia. Over the years, I wrote thousands of stories on a wide range of topics, from marine science to entertainment, archaeology, health, and politics. Many of my articles were distributed nationwide by the Associated Press.

In New York City, my humor column, "Thoughts on the F Train," was published in a Brooklyn newspaper and featured in NY Newsday. I also broadened my portfolio by writing freelance articles for GQ, Arts & Entertainment, Ladies' Home Journal, and numerous other magazines.

I cherished every moment spent in print, which prepared me for writing opportunities at CNBC, Bloomberg Business News, Hearst-Argyle, and other news programs. My fondest memories are tied to the newspaper stories I wrote at the beginning of my journey, and a few of those pieces are included here. Read all you want. There are no paywalls.
